It has been more than three months since I have
got a chance to update my homepage. A happy three months, I might add. After a
short stint in my professional career (Jan - August 2007, I was trying to explore
my acumen as a project manager ),
which thankfully ended with a sharp realization that I should stop fooling myself
and continue with technical life, I joined back as a Senior Architect at my
previous organization in August. I have been rolling in mud (read: technology) like
a happy pig since then and had been quite miserly with my other interests in
life. Today, finally I decided to divert a little more juice into activities
other than profession.
One of the frequent comments I have received regarding my homepage is that the landing page is too drab and the least I can do is to introduce myself. Believe me, I spent a futile hour trying to describe myself and failed miserably. I wonder how people write auto-biographies :D. After a bit of hair pulling and scalp scratching, I reverted to the universally accepted and age old Myers-Briggs qualifiers as means to describe myself. Within the next five minutes, I was diagonized to be of the INTJ type. I must confess, I was suitably impressed and turned an instant admirer of the two ladies who invented the methodology (Katherine and Isabel). You can find more details about the INTJ type here, but to give you a quick precursor, I have borrowed a few words from Wikipedia. " INTJs apply (often ruthlessly) the criterion "Does it work?" to everything from their own research efforts to the prevailing social norms. This in turn produces an unusual independence of mind, freeing the INTJ from the constraints of authority, convention, or sentiment for its own sake... INTJs are known as the "Systems Builders" of the types, perhaps in part because they possess the unusual trait combination of imagination and reliability. Whatever system an INTJ happens to be working on is for them the equivalent of a moral cause to an INFJ; both perfectionism and disregard for authority may come into play... Personal relationships, particularly romantic ones, can be the INTJ's Achilles heel... This happens in part because many INTJs do not readily grasp the social rituals.. . Perhaps the most fundamental problem, however, is that INTJs really want people to make sense. "
So, in short, that's me -Sandeep. |
