[03-Jun-07] I am not an Architect...
Good analysis. I didn’t realize the situation was bad in the Indian software
industry. Yours is the second post I have read where the current emphasis is to
"move" up the corporate chain - dev-sr.dev-team lead-PM. I agree you have to
"be in the trenches" and be passionate about code to be able to produce good
systems. I we keep up this trend of bogus process compliance, pretty soon the
outsourcing boom with move to China.

[05-Jul-07] How much of design is Art?
"It is the art of assembly and the swiftness with which one is able to evaluate
multiple alternatives against the constraints and choose the optimal one, that
makes the difference between a good design and a not so good design."
Excellent summary stated succinctly! Very nice analysis. I wonder if that
nucleus, that burst of lightning, is indeed a part of "unraveling" design if
not creating it? I mean cases like man unraveling the design of the DNA molecule
or figuring out E=MC2. Is the nucleus at work there? I don’t mean to digress,
but your posts really make one think! ;-)

Herr Sandeep,
Amazing sketches!!! As a failed artist, I can truly appreciate the quality of these works of art. I have seen the software at work and I dont even need to shine the torch in that direction lest it be burnt.
Cheers,
Sharad.
