After packing off my son to school at 6:30 AM, I usually devote my
energies in devouring the newspaper and savoring a mug of coffee. Unfortunately today the paper
boy didn't turn up and I was left with just the tumbler of coffee. I had been planning to sort
my study for some time now and thought this might be a good diversion from the early morning
boredom.
I stumbled upon one of my old sketch books and it was fun trying to go through the pages and see my struggles with lines, curves and shades. On one of the pages I came across a simple line sketch of a little girl which I had drawn when I was in Atlanta. Suddenly, I wanted to finish the sketch. I set forth with my array of pencils and after 15 minutes this is what came out. I am quite thankful to the paper boy for not showing up and drowning this beautiful morning in the drab world of politics, ads, tabloids and Paris Hilton's jail stories.
